  1. The combined direct and indirect contributions of the coal industry to New Hampshire's economy are more than $500 million.
  2. Using more than 1 million tons, New Hampshire ranks 42nd in coal use.
  3. About 21% of the electricity used in New Hampshire is produced by coal.
  4. New Hampshire does not produce coal.
  5. New Hampshire has two coal-fired power plants.
