  1. The combined direct and indirect contributions of the coal industry to Delaware's economy are more than $400 million.
  2. Using more than 1 million tons, Delaware ranks 40th in coal use.
  3. About 41% of the electricity used in Delaware is produced by coal.
  4. Delaware does not produce coal.
  5. Delaware has two coal-fired power plants.
